A German-born, New Plymouth-based architect-turned-artist, Volker transforms overlooked materials — recycled bread tags, kina spines, and found bones — into formally striking works that reveal unexpected connections to geology, mathematics, and ecology. Driven by a deep belief that nothing is without value, his practice gives discarded objects new purpose and beauty.
