Crafted in sterling silver, the Huia earrings are inspired by the sacred and now-extinct huia bird. Once treasured by Māori, huia feathers were exchanged as symbols of friendship, respect, and prestige. These elegant earrings honour that legacy through a refined, contemporary design.

Dominique Crikemans works from her studio near Paparoa in the Kaipara District, overlooking the Kaipara Harbour in Te Tai Tokerau Northland. The surrounding coastline, native flora and birdlife inspire her work.
