With its warm colouring and distinctive grain, the wood is transformed by Jeff Fryett into a practical kitchen tool using only traditional hand tools — an axe, sloyd knife, and hook knife. Each spatula is carefully shaped to feel comfortable in the hand, making everyday cooking a pleasure.

The surface is burnished with a smooth river pebble and sealed with a food-safe curing oil, bringing out the timber’s natural character while creating a silky finish that will continue to develop with use.
