Cherry’s warm reddish tones and smooth, close grain make it a pleasure to use, while Jeff Fryett’s careful carving ensures each piece feels balanced, comfortable, and naturally suited to the hand.

Using only traditional hand tools — an axe, sloyd knife, and hook knife — Jeff shapes each server to work harmoniously with the grain of the wood. The surface is then burnished with a smooth river pebble and finished with a food-safe curing oil, creating a silky feel that enhances the timber’s natural beauty and develops character over time.
