Tony Brooks

New Plymouth-born artist Tony Brooks works with a variety of mediums, including graphite, acrylic, and oil paint, applying them with both brush and palette knife. While portraiture was his original focus, he increasingly embraces the unique challenges of landscape painting. Passionate about oil painting, Tony continues to learn techniques from great artists around the world. His inspiration comes from the subject itself—whether it’s light, shadow, texture, depth, atmosphere, or character.
