Artist statement
Originally from the United States, Hannah McKay moved to New Zealand in 2015, where she discovered her passion for pottery and began her journey with clay. What started as a personal creative outlet quickly grew into a dedicated practice, shaped by daily making and a deep connection to the craft. Now a full-time potter and teacher, Hannah shares her love of clay with others, finding joy in guiding students as they discover their own creative rhythm.
