Pipiwai – Amy Whyte

Northland based artist Amy Whyte has been using her skills in ink and oil paint for several years. Scenes and objects that either surround Whyte or are etched in her memory are combined with precise composition to create a landscape painting that is both interior and exterior. Whyte continues to challenge the boundaries of her work by observing and adapting to new environments that create an extension to be united with the past, present, memory and place that already is.
