Artist statement
Brendan Larsen is a New Plymouth–based landscape and astrophotographer who is driven by a deep fascination with the natural world, capturing fleeting moments from glowing auroras to rugged landscapes beneath the Milky Way. His practice began with a love of the night sky and grew into a dedicated photographic pursuit in 2020, evolving from a passion into a small side business producing fine art prints and annual calendars. Through award-recognised work, Brendan shares scenes of wonder and connection, inviting others to experience the magic he finds in nature.
