Margaret Scott, born in Opunake, Taranaki in 1947, has lived her entire life on the Taranaki coast in New Zealand. Her art, characterised by personal symbolism, reflects her life experiences and the coastal environment, prominently featuring shellfish, the ocean, and scenes from her dairy farm life.
