Nancy Tschetner creates nature-inspired artworks using carefully layered shades of natural sand, building each piece grain by grain to form richly textured images drawn from memory and place. Her meticulous process involves applying adhesive and sprinkling sand in successive layers, allowing each to dry before continuing—resulting in works that hold both depth and a quiet sense of time and intention. Through this practice, she invites viewers into moments of mindfulness, encouraging them to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves, nature, and the memories that shape them.
